The Telcare BGM™ requires no prescription
If you purchase the product on your own, you will still receive a personal Telcare webpage and online logbook. You can use your free account on https://mytelcare.com to invite your physician, diabetes educator, or other health care professional to provide ongoing medical advice based on your progress. You can also involve your relatives and friends, if you wish via the online portal and Telcare’s mobile apps. However, in the absence of a licensed health professional’s involvement, the advice you receive from Telcare will focus on helping you track your personal targets for glucose control and adherence to testing. Telcare cannot provide medical advice for you.
If your doctor prescribes Telcare for you…
If your doctor or other licensed healthcare professional prescribes the Telcare BGM for you we will set up your account for your caregiver to monitor your progress from day to day and to provide clinical guidance as necessary. Of course, you will also have access to all of your testing data and, if you like, you can enable friends and relatives to track your data through our mobile apps. Telcare is compatible with Microsoft HealthVault and you can elect to view all of your data through HealthVault as well.
